Project Description
Action for Cheetahs in Kenya (ACK) works to promote the conservation of cheetahs through research, awareness, and community participation in Kenya.
ACK aims to promote the conservation of cheetahs through research, awareness and community participation in Kenya. ACK works closely with local wildlife authorities and landholders to develop policies and programmes that support wildlife conservation and human livelihoods for the long-term development of sustainable human and wildlife zones.

Project Summary
Much of our work is centred on community interactions: field work (interviews, cheetah census, game/livestock counts, etc.), admin work (data entry, reports); education programs; tourist lectures.
Working guest: Minimum 2 weeks, US$1500; additional Week’s $400/wk.
Student interns: Minimum 5 weeks, US$400/wk; additional weeks $300/wk.
Food and accommodation is included, accommodation is dormitory style with bathroom facilities. While in the field camping in the bush is often required.
The best qualification for our program is a willingness to help and work wherever needed. We need people who are versatile and can work long hours, seven days a week. Volunteers aged 20 years old and over.
