Project Description
Carismaperu is an organization whose name means friendship, generosity and love toward other people. It was established with the primary objective of improving and developing the abilities and skills of children and adolescents who live in the rural and high Andean regions of the central sierra of Peru. Carismaperu provides the essential bond between the volunteers and the least-developed communities of this region.
Carismaperu was born because we have observed and recognized the serious social problems in this area. This motivated our work with colleges, orphanages and street children using the help of foreigners who have visited the area so that their support can be directed in the most effective way possible.
Our collaboration with education and specialist social support organisations provides us with the expertise to carry out our work in the most appropriate way.
Volunteers are essential in pursuing our aims. Thanks to the efforts or our international volunteers we can help these children begin to envisage their future with optimism and dignity.

Project Summary
We offer various types of programs to satisfy the individual needs of our volunteers and to attend to the needs of our community as well. Each program has been individually selected by Carismaperu. The program allows the volunteer to interact with the community and support the local staff in their day-to-day activities, we have different programs in social work and medical fields.
The children will not have to pay anything for the help that is given to them. Children and adolescents offer us just a little smile which, for us and for them, is a sufficient motive to continue offering help to more people. Help will be offered in the villages surrounding Huancayo, as the statistics signal that in those villages, poverty is extreme and overwhelming.
Our program director and coordinator work closely with each volunteer to ensure that they and the participating organizations are content with the arrangements. Although we are committed to ensuring that the volunteer placements are a success, we ask our volunteers to show patience, maturity and initiative. The most successful candidates are able to be flexible and enthusiastic about working where they are needed most.
Enrolment Fee $20
Family Homestay (With Breakfast) $85/week
Family Homestay (With 3 Meals from Monday to Friday) $100/week
Fee includes:
Comfortable accommodation (internet WI-FI, Bedroom, cable, bathroom, toilet, shower with hot and cold water). You will share a life with a Peruvian family, living in a secure and friendly environment, as well as being given an optional city tour on arrival.
Food 3 times a day: breakfast, lunch and dinner from Monday to Friday, except for Saturdays and Sundays, the volunteers can discover regional food in restaurants or elsewhere.
2 excursions (1 city tours and 1 tour) per week, with tour guide and transport.
All volunteers should be aged 18 years old and over and have the predisposition to help people in need.
