After your intake conversation you will be placed in a project depending on your study and interest. There you will work together with other national and international volunteers visiting different villages and working together with the local people to find solutions for local problems.

Different physiotherapists work in this centre and the centre is always looking for help from physiotherapists, physiotherapy students or volunteers with a medical or sport background. Depending on the time that you are available, you can assist the physiotherapists or you can receive your own patients.
Guarderia Infantil: This day-care is located in the centre of La Ceiba and is run for children whose parents both have to work. There are around 50 children aged 2 to 15 years old. They are divided into different classes and the volunteer will assist the teacher. Volunteers are also welcome to develop their own activities. Maybe they can teach the children a couple of English words.
Emilia D'Cuirre: This is a school for deaf children in La Ceiba where the children learn how to deal with their handicap. It is a normal school, where the children learn how to write and read. The only difference is that there is more attention for the children and they get lessons in small groups. Creativity is an important part of their lessons. The volunteer will assist in the lessons and do different exercises with small groups of children. Although this is a school for deaf children it is not necessary to have experience with sign language.
