The Darwin Primate Group is a registered non-profit org that rescues and rehabilitates vervet monkeys, works towards a harmonious co-existence between wild primates and residents, and researches behaviour and natural food sources of wild baboons.

Project Summary
As a volunteer you will help with the daily routine at a rescue centre for vervet monkeys, do research into the behaviour of wild baboon troops and enjoy the exquisite scenery/activities of a sought after South African tourist area. Volunteer duties include Chopping food, cleaning enclosures, observing behaviour, researching behaviour, researching natural food sources, socialising rescued monkeys, nursing and mothering if needed.
150 sterling pounds per week. One meal included per day, accommodation, transport from airport included, other petrol costs are extra, our Accommodation: 2 rooms in a rustic farmhouse (shared with us) with one bathroom, kitchen, workshops etc. Limited solar power use. Internet.
No particular skills necessary other than a passion for animals, volunteers aged 21 years old and over.
