Project Description
ELEP Volunteer & Internship Programs strives to offer many volunteer abroad programs aimed at providing assistance to rural and urban communities across Ecuador in South America. We support a number of community service and environmental conservation projects such as:
Childcare: helping in orphanages, street children, daycare centers, disable children centers with daily care, feeding, recreational activities, etc.
Teaching: assisting local teachers and students in elementary schools with general education in English, math, sports, art, history, etc.
Medical/Healthcare: collaborating with local staff and patients of medical NGOs or public health canters in the day-to-day duties of these healthcare institutions.
Animal care: ideal for animal-loving volunteer interested in the animal welfare by assisting in shelters for animals. Volunteer responsibilities include: cleaning enclosures, feeding, creating nature environments, etc.
Construction work: unique opportunity for volunteers interested in building houses, schools, bridges or parks and help community members living or studying in substandard constructions. Volunteer’s role includes: mixing cement, carrying bricks, repairing fences or roots, plastering, etc.
Conservation: volunteers from all over the world are welcome to help in order to preserve the Ecuadorian nature by working in environmental education, reforestation, organic agriculture, tree nursery and more in national parks, biological and ecological reserves.
Human Rights & Legal Aid: fantastic opportunities for social workers, psychologists, lawyers, etc. students or professionals interested in helping to the defense of the human rights and/or legal aid service working with public institutions or NGOs.
HIV/AIDS: designed to collaborate and participate in health clinics, NGOs or government agencies working with this devastating HIV/AIDS disease. You can assist in developing sexual health education, psychological attention and antiretroviral therapy programs, etc.

Project Summary
Typically, the average work hours are no more than 40 hours per week for our volunteer programs and take place between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm. However, you can either do full time work (40 hours per week) or part time work (25 hours per week) depending on your preference. Our volunteer work projects run from Monday to Friday.
ELEP Volunteer & Internship Programs provides opportunities to volunteer across Ecuador in safe, meaningful and rewarding humanitarian and conservation volunteer projects with an emphasis on low cost and affordable volunteer work in Ecuador without sacrificing quality of service. Our volunteer opportunities are cheap because we are direct providers and not middleman.
The cost benefit is the main reason to volunteer abroad with us. ELEP Volunteer & Internship Programs low volunteer program fees starting from only $320 for 2 weeks which includes food, room, in-country support, volunteer placement and airport pick up. Spanish lessons for free available for those volunteering from 4 weeks.
No special skills/qualifications are required to participate in our volunteer projects in Ecuador and make a real difference and positive impact, only a willingness to share your time and work with humanitarian organizations and community members. Nevertheless, we would like to recommend traveling with an open mindedness, flexibility, 18 years old and over, a basic knowledge of Spanish and dynamism.
For participants who are 16-17 years old at the start of the program, it is possible to enroll if the parent or legal guardian gives us a written permission.
