Project Description
Prime Care Network’s primary aim is to provide free basic education for street children. We are also working with small groups in Ghana and as such are able to offer volunteer placements to suit skills and needs from Education to Health-care to Environmental work and support community development projects.
Prime Care Network is a membership non- profit volunteering organization based in Ghana that is in to providing free basic education for street-children, supporting community development projects and for promoting traditional programmes and eco- tourism programmes in Ghana through volunteerism.

Project Summary
Activity: Street Children project.
Roles of volunteers: A volunteer will be working hand in hand with local and international volunteers to offer free basic education for street children, help bring the kids from the streets to the school, control a class, organizing recreational activities, story-telling, go on site seeing with the kids, painting work, fixing school desks/chalk boards etc.
Working hours a week: 20-25 hrs. (Mondays –Fridays), Weekend tour package (Saturdays –Sundays)
Activity: Orphanage project.
Roles of volunteers: A volunteer work to take care of the children needs such as preparing food and serve them bath them, washing their clothing, dressing them, dress their beds, and play with them. Offer teaching in the school etc.
Working Hours a week: 25-30 hrs.(Mondays – Fridays),Weekend tour package(Saturdays –Sundays)
Activity: Community farm project.
Roles of volunteers: A volunteer work on a small organic farm. Whether taking part in a gap year, summer placement or career break, volunteers and two local members of staff are responsible for maintaining all aspects of the farm including animal care, crop-growing, flower-production, herb-cultivation and land-management.
Working hours a week: 25-30 hrs. (Mondays – Fridays), Weekend tour package (Saturdays –Sundays).
Activity: Mentally/Physically disabled project.
Roles of volunteers: A volunteer - spending time with the children, playing with them and putting a smile on their faces. The children are desperate for attention and there will undoubtedly be children present who have health problems and who need special attention due to disabilities.
Working hours a week: 25-30 hrs. (Mondays – Fridays), Weekend tour package (Saturdays –Sundays).
Activity: Beach lifeguard/Saver.
Roles of volunteers: A volunteer will assist with CPR and other first aid training as well as helping with their English and communication skills. La Pleasure Beach, Accra, is popular with tourist and locals, at weekends is attracts around two (400) hundred visitors whilst on public holidays this number can exceed seven (7) thousand. You would be working alongside a team of local lifesavers to ensure the safety of the visitors in the sea, which can be rough and dangerous. Although the local lifesavers do an excellent job, they have received no formal training.
Working hours a week: 20-25 hrs. (Mondays-Fridays), Weekend tour package (Saturdays –Sundays).
Activity: Sanitation/Environmental Cleaning Education.
Roles of volunteers: A volunteer will work alongside members of the community to clear rubbish from the streets and the gutters in order to create a safer and healthier environment and giving education about environmental safety to local community schools and durbar. Usually this project is attached with the Street children project or any of our teaching projects across the regions in Ghana.
Working hours a week: 10-15 hrs. (Mondays-Fridays), Weekend tour package (Saturdays –Sundays).
Costs for Volunteering and Weekend touring package costs. In case you are travelling as a group, please feel free to ask us for a further discount, we would be happy to provide you with a discounted cost for group travel.

What not include:
Visa, Health insurance, Air ticket (both ways) and personal expenses whilst in country.
Note: Payment can be made on arrive in the country equivalent in US dollar, Euro or Cedi (local currency).
Any volunteer age from 18+ can participate in our projects. No skills, experiences nor qualifications are required from any volunteer or tourist. What is required from volunteers or tourist is motivation, charisma and the drive to help the underprivileged to overcome their struggles and challenges for dignity.
