Project Description
Proyecto Horizonte is a non-profit organization located in the community of Ushpa-Ushpa in Cochabamba, Bolivia. The project was founded in 2004 by Christian Ruehmer and Osvaldo Castro with the mission of fighting poverty and improving human development. Since its establishment Proyecto Horizonte has grown to include a nursery, a school, a health center, microfinance and microenterprise initiatives, a women's support group, an artisan's group, and more. It continues to seek out new ways of investing in the community and welcomes your support.
Through volunteering with Proyecto Horizonte, volunteers have the opportunity to create lasting change for Bolivian children and for a Bolivian community. The commitment and never-ending work of so many of our volunteers has played a key role in our success so far in Bolivia.
