UODP is a French Ecuadorian organization, which aims to highlight, through communication, the individual and collective work of local level initiatives in Ecuador, operating in the health, education and socio-economic development sectors and providing monitoring and technical support, through the selection of skilled volunteers, the organization of capacity building workshops and sharing cross-disciplinary skills.
Our team in Ecuador and in France provides technical monitoring to the identified non-governmental organizations, including strengthening links between them and setting up local and international partnerships to ensure sustainability.
Within the framework of initiatives in the UODP network, a number of unifying themes are underlying such as, the promotion of gender equality, the respect of the environment, and the respect of children’s rights.
Together with the Ecuadorian initiatives, which we support, we identify their needs in human resources and we post at the international level, volunteer opportunities, which will allow individuals to engage in these associations to strengthen their skills and develop their activities.
We coordinate inter-associative projects to allow the strengthening of the participants of the network for a sustained development. For more information, check out our projects.
We are building a communication network (physically and on line) to assist NGOs through training, where they can exchange good governance practices, bring together their experiences, strengthen their capacities and create a real network of local initiatives arising from the civil society.
