The Whale Center of New England is a non-profit organization focusing on research, conservation, and education of marine mammals. The Whale Center of New England was founded in 1979 and is now highly respected in its field.
The Whale Center of New England, originally founded in 1979 as the Cetacean Research Unit of the Gloucester Fisherman's Museum, is a non-profit organization, located in Gloucester, MA. Our three-pronged mission is to study whales in their marine environment, conserve them and to educate the public about them.

Project Summary
A conservation education position for volunteers who are willing to give of themselves. As the overseer of our exhibit which includes a 2 year old humpback whale skeleton, volunteers are responsible for public education of visitors and staffing a small gift shop.
There is no cost except for transportation to and from The Whale Center of New England. No accommodation provided.
Volunteers aged 17 and over with a willingness to learn.
