Project Description
Wildlife ACT helps save priority wildlife species by initiating and managing important hands-on monitoring projects in Southern Africa. We need you to be part of the team. We work with amongst other animals, Cheetah, Wild Dog, Elephant, Rhino & Lion.

Project Summary
Get hands-on experience helping to save endangered and priority African wildlife species like Wild Dog, Cheetah, Rhino, Elephant, Leopard and Lion. Situated in Zululand, South Africa, Wildlife ACT team members work across a number of reserves in the area, each with its own unique focus.
Volunteer duties include
Tracking, via radio telemetry equipment
GPS mapping of sightings
Creation/updating of identity kits
Animal behavioural research
Game counts
Radio collaring animals
Relocation, re-introduction of game
Bird ringing
2 weeks: R9800
4 weeks: R8200
every extra 2 weeks: R8200
Food, accommodation and training included. Flights / transportation exclude
A positive attitude, be to communicate in English, and a desire to make a real conservation difference. Volunteers aged 18 years old and over.
